Hey everyone, make sure you don’t feed your dogs raisins, grapes, chicken bones or pork bones.  🙂  They are all very dangerous for your pups!!

Our cats eat everything!  We can’t leave out any dishes at dinner for seconds or leftovers because they will try to eat them… also, lately our one cat has been trying to eat out of the bathroom garbage… ewwww like kleenex and toilet paper.  SOmething is seriously wrong with him!

One of our cats will eat almost anything as long as it’s NOT edible. Any kind of fuzz, lint, bits of leaves and dirt from outside. Once I found a blue substance in her poop and realized she had been snacking on a gardening knee pad.

Our other cats like cheese. Especially fake cheese, like on Cheetos!

My tuxedo boy cat will grab my hand to try to get a bite of french fries, edamame, or dried pineapple.  He likes other people food, too, but those are the ones that he goes nuts over.  He also likes to munch on the plants I grow in containers on my back porch, like broccoli leaves, swiss chard, lettuce, flowers, etc.

My pomeranians would eat anything and everything if I allowed it.The love all the dog friendly vegetables including bell pepper and peas (their faves). The wierdest thing is Sluggo (non-toxic for pets) Snail killer. While it doesn’t harm my female pomeranian I don’t exactly like the idea of her eating it.

Despite my best efforts every time I put out a fresh batch she munches away! I now have to stand between her and the lower planters when she goes out.

My dog Blue loves pita chips… He goes crazy when he sees me take the bag out… Not food wise?  He loves to eat sticker-burrs… Running in the backyard he’ll get one stuck in his foot and stop to pull in out, spit it out and then eat it… he also pulls them out of the carpet if the cats leave them there or they fall off our pants or something…

The cats… nothing too strange… Although our orange cat Tuaca is obsessed with eating Blue’s dog food… I’ve never seen a cat who likes dog food, but he will run to the bowl when I pour his food in and then chow down! And they aren’t tiny kibbles or anything, they are for big dogs!

@Oneeleven: I love that sequence of photos…

“O look, some cake on a shelf!”

“Mmmm, so delicious”

“OOF. Too much cake.”

My parents have a cockatoo who’s older than I am (and will likely someday be my cockatoo considering their long lifespans) and he goes nuts for canned corn. I don’t know if it’s the label he recognizes or the shape of the can, but he will kick up the biggest fuss the second he sees you bring it out of the pantry, and won’t let up until you give him some.

Ditto with Smarties (the Canadian ones; to any American bees who haven’t seen ’em, they’re like flatter, wider M&Ms). He recognizes the sound of them rattling around in the box and starts doing a happy dance until you give him one. He will also happily chew the empty box to pieces afterwards.

our dog usually begs for anything (though he doesn’t get much). he goes especially nuts for carrots, he comes running for them if we take one out! and if i’m eating ice cream (non-chocolate) or yogurt, i sometimes let him like the bowl when i’m done, and so now he tries to climb onto my lap while i’m eating it. and he adores popcorn

Funny we’re all talking about our garburators for pets and I come home to the trash can tipped over and all the garbage ripped to shreds. Bad doggy… I had quiznoes yesterday so he got into the soggy wrappers….yuck!

@finnaroo: Father-In-Law used to let DH’s cat lick the ice cream bowl when he was finished, so whenever he was eating ice cream, the cat would scale the back of his chair and perch himself on FIL’s shoulder like a vulture until he was done.
