We’re having a brunch reception in 1 month where we live. We got married halfway across the country in my hometown 2 weeks ago!
Dh’s parents are sort-of hosting. I say sort-of, because they led us on to believe that they wanted to host and really pushed us to have a 2nd reception (it wasn’t something that I really wanted, but they and all of their friends live in the state where we live and most weren’t able to go. So I get that they want to do something here), but then act confused when we ask if guests should email his mom to RSVP. Oh well.
What should we have guests do at this event? So far I’ve come up with…
1) Eat and drink coffee and tea. (No alcoholic drinks)
2) Slideshow of wedding photos
3) Sign our wedding certificate. We’re doing a quaker-style wedding certificate for all of our wedding guests to sign. Even though they weren’t there, we’d like to DH’s side who wasn’t able to come to sign.
4) We can cut a fancy cake with our cake knife set
After that I’m stuck. Any ideas or suggestions?
