I work at an OBGYN, but am also seeing one of our docs and taking Femara, so I’ll do a CD 21-23 progesterone. She said progesterone of 3 is ovulatory.

I’ve always thought it should be over 10. Obviously the higher the better and under 10 can still mean you’ve ovulated, but it’s debatable whether a pregnancy can be sustained at levels lower than 10.

My doctor said they like to see over 10, so when mine came back at 8.2 I was concerned.  She treated it like it was no big deal, like “congrats, you ovulated!”  But then 3 days later when I got a bfp, she changed her tune a bit and wanted me to start progesterone suppositories IMMEDIATELY.  So…(she didn’t say this, but) that leads me to believe that sure, 8.2 means I ovulated, but that level would not support a pregnancy.

ETA: after 200mg suppositories/day, my progesterone was 35+ a week later.

Mine was 5.0 unmedicated. My doctor said I ovulated and wasn’t too concerned. But she did put me on a progesterone supplement. This past cycle, on Letrozole, I was at 12.2. She still had me take the progesterone supplement.
