tagerosan:  the “like it should be” threw me off. There are no rules on this. 😉 My Fi excitedly shared the news with a friend about when he was going to. He was out back watering plants and I was inside doing dishes. He didn’t realize the screen door was open. I heard, but it didn’t make our engagement any less special. I didn’t ruin a surprise, and it was pretty great Bc I didnt know what he was going to say or in what moment of the weekend away he was going to ask.

I think we can be too quick to judge how things should stack up, and proposals that aren’t “out of the blue” aren’t any less ideal.

I was wearing jeans and a sweater under a red winter coat. We were also ice skating so I had skates on! It’s funny, as I was getting ready I told my fiance I was just going to go for comfort because I wanted to stay warm (it was December in NYC) and I could see that he was kind of like eehhhh but he’s not one to tell me what to wear, so he didn’t make a big deal of it. It was funny later when I realized that he’d probably wanted me to be a little dressed up for the proposal!

Here’s an action shot!

She wore a blue top with white pattern print and jeans and I wore a striped blue shirt and jeans. She knew I would propose at some point as we were talking about marriage but she didn’t have a clue when I would propose. She knew I wanted to import a ring and I kept telling her ‘when I get the funds and a friend to bring it in I will’… so that day she had no clue I already brought in the ring. The boardwalk was one of her favourite spots when she visits near my area so I said hey lets go as we have not been there in a while. Took some of my friends on the trip too and told then to take secret pictures for me but make it look like you are just taking pics of the scenery. She was shocked and so happy when I proposed.   I remember as soon as I started to propose the wind started to pick up and blow. It was perfect.

We were dressed up as we were away for our anniversary for the weekend so I was in a wee dress/top I picked up in NYC with leggings, whilst he was looking super dapper in a waistcoat! Xxx

Fun thread! We were on a hike, so I was in gym shorts and a t-shirt from Target, my ratty old sneakers, and one of his sweatshirts. I had worn sweat pants over my shorts when we started hiking because it was cold, but had taken them off about a mile into the hike. When he proposed, I had the dirty sweatpants hanging around my neck! LOL!

Flip flops, jean capris and a shirt, but I don’t remember what it looked like. I had his coat on too. We went for a walk at night when it happened.

A Star Wars t shirt, jeans, and sneakers! He was wearing a different Star Wars t shirt and we were on our way to a Star Wars miniature game! Hahaha

A maroon dress. This was just a few hours before , which explains why Fiance looks sort of nauseous :p

I had gone shopping earlier that day,  so I wore a white and black sweater with black leggings,  both from J Crew that I had just purchased with black pumps. What’s funny is I never wear black!  I just liked the outfit for a winter dinner date.  No idea it was happening. I wore only a little make up and my nails were not even done. 🙂

When my Fiance proposed, we were out hiking. I had no idea it was coming (at least not the day and time). He got me in my hiking gear, all sweaty and breathless, with ocean water seeping into my shoes and my hair a mess from the wind. But I loved it all the same, and I wouldn’t ask for anything different.

Here’s a picture of me about 5 minutes before he proposed.

iheartstyle:  Not a clue. It was a surprise in a foreign country so I didn’t even think about what I was going to wear.  I am sure I did not have nailpolish

Since my fiancé proposed on top of a mountain while we were out hunting I was wearing my hunting attire. Camo pants, camo jacket, gumboots, and my trusty rifle:) It was fabulous!!
