Young Chelsea *I could have a fake name, but let’s face it, my user name is chelsealiz, I ruined the mystery factor*
Anyway, young Chelsea dreamed of her proposal many, MANY times. And in every dream I was wearing something gorgeous, looking elegant and diamond ready.
Well that’s not how I looked what I was proposed to- Guess what I was wearing?
Just my underwear and an old, grungy tank top.
My proposal happened on a Sunday morning. I taught a Sunday school class early in the morning to a group of teens. I got up early, showered, dryed my hair and while I was putting on my make up got a text from my girls saying they had been up all night at “relay for life” and wouldn’t be coming to class. I was bummed they didnt tell me the night before so I ripped off my clothes, grumbled and crawled back into bed with soon to be fiance. He got up, made breakfast, and crawled back in bed with a ring.
All the while- I’m in my skivies- and I wouldn’t have it ANY other way. Anyone else looking “less than 100%” during the magical moment?

To be honest, I don’t even remember! It was cold out, and he took me down by the lake, so all I remember is being bundled up and wearing wedge boots while trying to climb through snowdrifts to get to the path.

I was wearing a t-shirt and jeans. Oh, and I was also hot, sweaty, cranky, and not in the mood to be proposed to! haha you’re not alone.

We were hiking, so I was sweaty and wearing my “Smokey Bear” tshirt (a favorite hiking shirt). We were sitting on a rock overlooking the river. I asked for a granola bar, and he reached in the camel back and pulled out the ring.
I also wouldn’t have my proposal any other way.

My old jeans, and an old grey hoodie with a hole in the sleeve. Oh, and snowboots and my jeans were wet up to the knees and stained with salt. And my ahir was back in a ponytail because I hadn’t washed it that morning. I was super klassy. I just figure, it’s easy to love someone when they’re all dressed up and perfect, the trick is to love them when they’re less so!

lol I can’t remember!!! I was on my lunch break at work, so I’m sure I was wearing a work outfit, but I don’t remember what. I will ask my Fiance and see if he remembers. He remembers everything haha

Cute! It’s funny that the way we dream it is never the way it happens… but WAY better!
I would have dreamed that I would be wearing something fancy (dress, etc) as well, but was not. (Side note: Weird that I thought I’d be wearing something fancy. I always hated the “dinner and a carriage ride” proposals, since they are not very creative).
I was wearing Pink VS sweat pants and a black t-shirt. I was getting ready to start practice (I lead a dance team at my church) when my now husband proposed to me. He set up a skit involving some of the kiddos from our church who are near and dear to my heart. Guess I wasn’t really “diamond dressed”… but I would not have it any other way (either) : ).
Here’s a picture:

We were headed into NYC for the day. I was so glad he made me change. Originally I was dressed frumpy. I was trying to stay warm since it was February, but then my genius fiance suggested, knee boots, with wool tights, courduroy skirt, sweater scarf, but best of all he made me put on a wool jacket instead of the plasticy winter coat I had orginally planned. I looked cute and good thing. His sister was waiting for us and took pictures of the entire proposal. This is my fav pic from that day!

BWAH HA HA HA!!! I was wearing gym clothes with no makeup and just had worked out. Not quite what I had envisioned. – – Just glad he loves me no matter what I looked like that day.

I was obsessed with picking out a proposal outfit, it was like that scene in Legally Blonde! We were in a long distance relationship, and had only 2 visits left before the date that our church would have to be booked, so I knew it was going to be one or the other. I spent a whole weekend shopping with a girlfriend trying to find the right outfit! Ended up going with a skirt from Anthropologie, knee-high boots, and a cordoroy jacket. The shoes were a mistake…my fiance wanted to walk around the lake and propose there, and my feet were too tired!

LOL, I’m a paramedic, I had just gotten home from a 16 hour shift. I was wearing my work uniform, black pants, black work boots, white button up shirt, and blue sweatshirt. I had crazy hair, my makeup was running, and I was a sweaty disgusting mess from doing CPR for an hour that afternoon. GROOOOSSS!
But it was super sweet and I wouldn’t have had it any other way!
