- Wedding: September 2012
I am just newly becoming a DIY bride so I am looking for some guidance!
A family friend volunteered to arrange the bouquets for the wedding but I need to pick/purchase the flowers and create my vision for them…
I am having a nautical wedding of gold, navy blue & white on a yacht.
MYYYY bouquet will be a brooch bouquet of silvers, golds & bling with 4 silk hydrangea blooms as the body (so its gonna be prettyyy big/heavy but I love them big!)
now I LOVE hydrangea and was thinking about having one or two stems of them in clear wine bottles in the middle of my DIY/interactive centerpiece. Here’s my mock up:
and here is the ceremony space decorated with someone else’s arrangements:
and here it is pretty close to blank:
Now I could very easily just set the girls & the ceremony space up with hydrangea cuz they keep well and are volumnous and I’m not that into flowers but I think I could probably do better… but I don’t really know a lot about flowers.
Can you ladies please give me some good WHITE flower suggestions?
I’d like to be able to order them online and have them delievered to my house a day or so before… also cost is something to consider so I’d like to keep it as reasonable as possible but also as beautiful as possible!
I know roses work but idk… I kinda prefer a more unique flower.
Please show me your suggestions & where to purchase!
PS To give you an idea, these hydrangeas are $80 for 30 6″ wide stems at Sam’s club…
and I just saw these football mums for $160 for 100.
I kinda love that they resemble sea anenome! Is that nautical or what?!
and here’s a bouquet with them:
I love that they are HUGE, nautical, easy to care for and cost friendly too!
What do you guys think?
