chyangra :  my original wedding band is 2.5mm but I strangely experienced band width shrinkage rather than diamond shrinkage and ended up adding a second 2mm band, like a second row if wedding band to resolve the problem, bringing me up to 4.5mm of band and I find it just right. So based on my experience I say go thicker, but I don’t know, I might just be wierd. Lol.

I like the contrast! Mine are 2.2 and 3 mm.

Engagement ring is 2.5mm but tapers up into a thinner cathedral, wedding band is 3mm. Size 7.5 finger

I feel like the size difference is so minimal that you don’t really notice that one is thicker than the other, plus the style makes it hard to tell the width too. I say go thicker if you like it!

Mine is 2.5mm a little bit thicker than my engagement ring. It sits flush because my setting is a cathedral.

When I want it thicker, I wear my anniversary band with it.

My engagement ring is (allegedly) 1.7 mm (I suspect it’s thinner than that), the diamond band is 2.3 mm, and the plain band is a 2 mm cheapie tungsten from Amazon that I ordered as a “test drive” to see if I wanted a third band. When I was scoping out rings online pre-engagement, I think that all the super-zoomed-in photos threw off my perception. 2 mm is still SUPER dainty. If I were going just engagement ring and one band, I’d absolutely do a 2 mm engagement ring and a 2.5-3 mm wedding band.

chyangra :  My e ring and band are somewhere between 2.5-3mm each, though I’m not sure of the exact specs. I have a size 4.75 finger so they look pretty substantial on my hand. I thought I’d want a dainty band but I surprised myself- I really like the look of heavier bands.

I think mine might be a little thicker than what I think is currently popular, but I love the look of a thicker wedding band. My e ring is just under 2mm and my wedding band is 4mm.

Stephanie16 :  aww thanks so much ☺️ it’s 1.52 ct and the band width is 2mm at the back, but it kind of tapers to just a little bit thinner on either side of the diamond so that’s why I said a little less than 2mm wide. I’m a size 7 finger. Hope this helps!
