I’m still waiting but my family are BIG drinkers and I am planning on wine only for meal and bar open in evening. If they want to drink lots in everyday life fine but they tend to argue when drunk so I will be trying my best to remove the catalyst. I feel bad as kinda dictating to adults how to behave but it’s one day and I would be stressed if the bar was open all day. None of them are big wine drinkers so that’s cool.

Mine is less than two weeks away but these things could cause some murmurs:
No veil
We’re recessing to the Rocky theme
If you’re not married, engaged, or co habitating, no plus ones. All of the single guests have plenty of friends at the wedding to hang out with.
A Honeyfund(which I haven’t heard complaints about, but they’re out there)
BBQ food
No alcohol
Only tea and lemonade to drink with dinner
No bouquet or garter toss
Very few slow songs(we’re dancers)
Crowded eating space
Everyone can NOT bring their children
Eating in separate rooms(venue is converted mansion)
Wedding on a Thursday in the summer(we’re saving 3000 dollars this way plus most of our guests work in education and don’t work the next day)
I’ve spent most of this process worrying about guest comfort and I do want them to enjoy, just not at the expense of our enjoyment.

- Wedding: Hawksnest Cove Beach St John USVI
I love this old thread coming back up!
-9 am ceremony- sorry, not sorry you’re waking up early
– standing ceremony
– Destination Wedding
– Wedding on Valentine’s Day
– No scheduled extra trips, you came here enjoy your vacation other than the few hours for the wedding and reception.
– Super small guest list
– No dancing, garter toss, bouquet toss
– High waves due to a storm so people got wet during family photos which cracked me up
What they loved
-We made the trip cheaper for most of our guests than traveling to where we live
– So many good choices and drink choices
-Being able to enjoy the rest of their day at the beach
-We spent tons of time talking to all of our guests
– Tipsy Bride is a relaxed bride! I left my type A issues at the bottom of mimosa glass 3 or 4 so when things went wrong I laughed it off.

Not close to getting married yet but what people will hate???lol
Simple, simple, simple. No bridal party this time (was married once before and it was a nightmare organizing and coordinating the fuckery).
Most likely at a nice restaurant (I will make sure the food is excellent) with just dinner…no ‘dancing’ music and probably no alcohol.

Love threads like this–makes me realize I’m in good company! Here we go:
Limited bar (and I mean limited)
No DJ/dancing at venue (we are planning a low key after party at a local bar–I like the idea of drinks and dancing in jeans, not my sheath dress)
No garter or bouquet toss and no special dances
Bridal party is one best man and one maid of honor
No rice or sparklers or sending off of any kind
Four toasts–sorry, not sorry you have to listen up 🙂
No kids

My guests will hate the fact that they won’t be there. There will be no guests haha (planned elopement which everyone knows about).
