I’m curious to see what others are doing that will be a bit different at their wedding! After talking to my parents last night, I learned that what they think will be unique, I feel is something that is gaining more popularity. I’ll start with what may be seen as unique about mine.
1) Not only are we having our dog at the ceremony, he can join the party at the reception afterwards!
2) We are getting married by a Cantor and a Priest..outside…on a Friday Evening
3) Photobooth (this is the one that my parents thinks is more unique than it is)
4) Cookie Table (PA wedding transition where my parents are from)
5) Cupcakes instead of Cake

Our Victorian theme. I am wearing a Victorian tea hat instead of a veil!
A ceremony that is a combination of Pagan and Native American.
A simple reception afterwards with no alcohol.
A day-after pig roast.

We are having a theme wedding (1940’s/ old Hollywood)’ which is not something thats ever been done in our family/friends circle.
We are also doing the photobooth, but this is becoming almost expected these days.
My maids are carrying clutches instead if bouquets, and my bouquet is a brooch bouquet.

We will be having a book theme 🙂 Naming the tables after books we each like, using books as part of the centerpieces, having bookmarks as placecards/favours 🙂
Also our colours will be blue and purple (with a dash of ivory too), his favourite colour is blue and mine is purple 🙂

My Fiance really wants to include a tricycle jousting tournament along with the other lawn games (cornhole, horseshoes, and ladder golf) during our cocktail hour. Lol, goofball. If he can organize it, I’m down. In general, it’ll just be very festive and colorful and fun – not fancy or etiquettey at all.

Were having a Vintage wedding to start with, but i believe what is really going to stand out will be our toast. We are toasting with milkshakes, straight up.
Our wedding was suppose to be vintage and coke inspired where our beverages would of been coke and rootbeer floats but i think thats a bit pricey but that also would of done it

We are having a nerf artillery/light saber table, so that when our guests invariably have political/ideological/philosophical/religious differences, the can settle it with a duel…

We are having a gourmet food truck, churros, cupcakes, and a candy buffet. Our cake topper is Lego Batman and Catwoman. Music will be a live band in an afternoon garden setting. And we will all play Corn Hole. I can’t WAIT!

@levisrictusias: Um, this is the best. I may be stealing this. My brother DID agree to be in the bridal party on the condition that he get to carry a lightsaber. So if there’s one lightsaber, might as well have more.

We’re making our favors with my own caramel recipe, plus everything on our sweet n salty snack buffet is going to be baked and decorated by me.
