just living life as we have over the past three years since we met.  The wedding just made it official!!!!  The only change is that we are living in one place now (that is almost finished with some upgrading). We both have FT  positions in IT, so that keeps us busy and our days our long.  Are weekends are pretty much the same. Eventually once the renovations are done, we’ll move the rest of my stuff and just reorganize.

Finish my accounting degree and save so I can get ready to relocate to Philadelphia with my kids. I will be plenty busy after the wedding.

we’ve been focusing on getting all moved into our house. during our engagement, i missed the days when we weren’t worrying about a wedding 24/7 and now that the wedding is over i miss planning and thinking about it. i definitely wasn’t expecting to feel like that, haha.

Oh geez! The week after returning from our honeymoon, I began a very demanding school program. Also, I work. Other than that we try to enjoy just being!

Oh I was so relieved to free up that portion of my brain finally!  Phew!  What a relief to have it over.

I like to go somewhere at least once a month.  It can be a weekend trip or somewhere local, like camping for the weekend.  We’ve already got some things planned:

Sept – visited friends in Denver (like 2 weeks after the wedding), engagement photos (kind of late!), I take a weekly dog agility class with my dog (3 more classes left), planned a party at our house this weekend

Oct – my pet rescue’s annual fundraiser ball is this weekend, I’m on the committee that is time consuming, going to California to visit friends at the end of the month, stopying by Joshua Tree NP and Death Valley NP on the way home,

Nov – planning to go to Red Rocks, Nevada for some rock climbing over Thanksgiving holidays

Dec – flying to Portland to see his family, hopefully there’s snow for skiing in our state by them

Jan – lots of skiing, flying to see my family perhaps, planning some yurt/ski trips

Feb – flying to Tuscson to visit more friends if we can find some airfare sales, yurt/ski trips

We are back to pre-engagement routines, plus we bought a house (so basic home improvement) and we are trying to save up enough money that I can go on mat leave and our morgage/housing expenses will be covered for the entire year by our fund. That one is hard!

So, in the last two months, we have quickly did a honeymoon for a few weeks, both started work again in September, we just moved into our house this weekend (that is busy!) and I think the next month will be relaxing, then back to baby-makin!

We redecorated our entire home and man it is awesome now that it is done. We basically return nearly all our gifts and started from scratch. We just finished painting last weekend.

Besides home related things I basically threw myself into volleyball to deal with my post-wedding blues. I have stretched myself a bit thin but I am really enjoying coaching and playing so I can’t complain too much. I have a much deserved night off tonight thanks to a schedule change and I’m looking forward to spending time with my hubby.

Staying busy! I loved our wedding and planning was fun, but I’m honestly so happy to be able to have time for other things now.

We’re getting a dog and looking for better jobs. We had to put the job search on hold for a few months before the wedding because things were just too crazy.

We’re also just having fun cooking and using our wedding gifts, going to the gym, cleaning/organizing the house, hanging out with friends and family and having time to breathe! We’re also getting more involved in church/volunteer activities.

I thought I might miss planning, but really I’m just relieved and happy to be married.

The hubby and I have been focused on organizing our apartment and enjoying our wonderful wedding gifts!

Just looking forward to the holidays other than that, not much.

Less stress without the wedding planning!

Well so far I just started a new job, one of our cars broke down so now we’re looking at getting a new car, and talking with real estate agents to figure out if/when we can afford a house so we can start planning for that. I’m also trying to get back into school, there’s still thank you notes and changing my name from the wedding. I also am a huge fan of the Holidays including Halloween so lots to do with all of that!!

I had those surprising (to me) wedding blues..hard..and felt lost, without knowing what to do with all the “spare time” i used to engage on wedding planning (oh and what a frenzy that was!). After the summer holidays, a month and a half after the honeymoon, i felt completely different Smile. Things went back on track and i am now planning a new all sorts of different things, but of course, i am a mother of 2 and my life is pretty busy.

I am going to focus on making Halloween costumes right now. But in general DH and i will be trying to move out. We have a potential house, we just have to wait a little longer to see if things fall into place for it.

  • Have lots of sexy time
  • Spoiling our dog
  • Lounge around and get fat
  • Work out together to loose the fat
  • Do things/projects around the house
  • Travel
  • Hang out with friends
  • Go to other peoples weddings ( as guests) and be in some of them
  • Plan the future ( moving out of state, children, etc)
  • Most of all…enjoy each other and don’t take any minute for granted!
