@cbee: wow…

I hate the use of rape, gay, and retarded.  I hate when everything turns into an acronym.

Believe it or not, sooo many people, many educated people say, “there is” when at the time they are using it it is supposed to be “there are”. That goes with many other things with is when are should be used. I agree with irregardless and when people misuse the word ignorant.  (They are ignorant! haha)

@MacFaniam24: There was an episode of Bridezilla’s where one of the brides kept misusing the word “ignorant.” It was so annoying!

I hate it when people use the word gay incorrectly.  It means homosexual or happy, that is it!

I also HATE it when people end their sentences with “Right?”  It makes me feel like they are always searching for some sort of approval.

People (especially women) calling me “honey.” Makes me want to rip their heads off for using such a degrading, overbearing, and coddling word.

Also, yummo, preggers, and “boys will be boys.” Gag.

Saying “I heart you” etc. instead of “I love you.”

“Nom, Nom, Nom”

I really really really hate “You go girl!”. It makes me want to bang my head against the wall. Especially when my Future Mother-In-Law says it and she’s a 60 year old British lady.

I also hate the word “synergy”. If anyone says it to me I automatically write them off and tune out.

I cannot STAND improper grammar.  I could not date someone who used it.  Also, when someone doesn’t use the proper tense.  I even edit someone’s writing if I have to read it aloud.

@Ms. Caniche: Hahaha, I have people in my grad school program who say that after voicing an opinion, and I hate it because it sounds really pretentious and self-satisfied. I hate it too! Also agreed on using “gay” and “retarded.”

Improper grammar or spelling is a big no-no for me.  Also, misused apostrophes drive me up the wall.

It drives me nuts when people say something is “hysterical” when they mean it’s funny.  You can be hysterical because something is so hilarious, but the funny thing itself is not hysterical…
