I’m paying for my girls to get massages the weekend of the wedding because it was something I knew I’d want if I were one of them  =o)

Something cute and personal for each one.  A framed picture of you and the maid?  A bottle of wine that you two always drink when you’re together?

When in doubt, there’s always Coach clutches 🙂

I just had my sister, and I got her a sentimental gift and paid for her wedding makeup. As a bridesmaid, I’d love to have the bride to pay for my hair and/or makeup… trying to make yourself look photo-worthy is STRESSFUL!

I wanted my friends and family to not feel like it’s a burden to be my Bridesmaid or Best Man, so I made everything entirely easy for them.

Aside from providing the (relatively inexpensive) Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses for them, I’m providing hair/makeup services for them.. and their little gift will be these Tory Burch smart phone wallets.. (My friend has the hookup for me to get each at 40% off retail price)

Mine isn’t “perfect,” but I’m happy with what I’m getting them. I am getting them:

– A tote bag with a cute pattern and their initials on it (really just to hold everything else, not a major part of the gift)

– A custom-made lightweight floral robe to wear while we get ready and then they’ll have it afterwards. It is being custom sewn to their height & size (two will be pregnant), nothing that says “Bridesmaid” or anything like that.

– A Camelbak waterbottle (I love these things and all my ladies use them too, but it’s always nice to get a new one because they get gross over the years)

– A book I picked out individually for each of them (kind of fun/light reading, but novels)

– I’ll probably put some snacks in the bag too for the weekend, some candy but also some healthy stuff.

I am also paying for their hair and makeup to be done, but I don’t consider that part of the gift. I am also trying to work out a trade with the seamstress that is doing their dresses so all they have to pay for is the cost of the materials ($60).

Lush, love it so much but not all girls do. Maybe vouchers to see a movie, spa day or starbucks card.

I would love something that I could use again after the wedding. I take reusable tote bags to the grocery store to save bags, so I always love getting canvas tote bags as gifts. I also love nail polish, I would love to get a manicure set or something girly like that. Honestly though, I think the best gift ever is a really sweet handwritten card that i can reread when I’m having a bad day or when I’m feeling nostalgic.

I would do something sweet, something sparkly, something smart, something serious. : )

Sweet – favourite candy or lovely little pastries

Sparkly – a piece of jewelry for the wedding day

Smart – a book tailored to their personality

Serious – a letter telling them how much they mean to you.

I am SO cheesy.

I’m stuffing my girls wristlets with gift cards (Sephora and VS).  I’m also giving my girls jewelry (earrings) that are gifted in a macaron coin purse; I did these all DIY so it only cost about $5 per friend.

It’s hard. I don’t even really like people buying presents for me in general b/c I rarely like what they pick out. 🙁

IF it were my “style,” I like jewelry, scarves, cute little purse, basically anything “girly” like nail polish and lip gloss. Gift certificates to restaurants are always nice too.

Hair and makeup is the best gift because the girls will want to look pretty too they are standing up there w you after all 🙂 and it gets pricy. If i were the bridesmaid I’d prob think “stuff” is nice ie personalized makeup bag etc but I’d much rather have h+m paid for so I don’t have to spend the money myself
