I have a close friend that sent me an email on July 9th asking for my address and what to do about post, etc in order to send me our wedding gift since she couldn’t make it to our wedding in June. I’ve since received her STD for her November wedding but no gift. I know the EU can be a little tough on mail/gifts (our Christmas gifts from my parents took forever because of customs…but not this long).
What would you do in a situation like this? (hopefully I’ve explained it well)

Do you know if she actually sent it? She may just not have gotten around to it yet (which is something I could see myself doing). Or do you know it was mailed and are worried it was lost in the mail? Sorry, I’m a little confused.

You can totally write to her and let her know that you received her STD and ask if she had any problems with the mail.

Unless she said she mailed something, I can definitely see her not having mailed the present yet, especially if she’s getting married soon herself. People like to procrastinate! I wouldn’t mention it unless she asks if you got the gift, or tells you she mailed something.

that’s exactly why i asked…i have no idea if she has mailed it 🙂 i am the type that writes thank you’s as soon as i’ve seen something purchased off our registry and maybe i’m over-thinking it. i just don’t want her to think that i’m not thanking her asap if she did send something. it could very likely be that she just hasn’t gotten around to sending it.
thanks for the replies!!!!
