Well. You can have your nails at least in really good shape. πŸ™‚ And I would just enjoy that you will be engaged soon!

My SO is probably going to propose within 30 days too!! I’ve been keeping my nails really clean and tidy. I think he might pop the question while we’re on vacation in Mexico, so I bought myself a beautiful new bathing suit and a knockout little black dress!

I agree with the PP, enjoy the anticipation!! πŸ™‚

I’m also supposed to get a proposal within the next month.  I’ve just been trying to keep my hands and cuticles in good shape.

@laurana: Unless you are planning to have a professional photographer on site, it doesn’t matter what you look like. I was in jeans and a Pens jersey and it didn’t even matter. Don’t over-think it. The only thing I did was keep my nails and hands perfect. You are going to have a lot of people looking at your hands.  Good luck!

Maybe you could find a nail salon near the hotel?

Also, think about who you will want to call when the proposal does happen and make sure you have extended family members’ phone numbers on hand (like, any aunts or cousins who might want to hear the news firsthand from you).

Before heading out to where you’ll be staying, take a day and go get your hair done in a style you can keep up with.  Keep your nails groomed, but simple so you won’t feel a need fr a manicure just in case.  πŸ™‚  Good luck.

We are going away for a couple days together for a mini vacation in two weeks..  So I am hoping something might happen then too!  I am going to get a mani and pedi done before then and straighten my hair..  I have been trying to moisureize my hands because they are so dry lately..  Just a bit more beauty TLC.  and yes a camera is a must πŸ™‚  and a phone to tell the news!

Side question:  When you get popped the question and you go to tell your parents, are you going to call them on the phone to tell them the news, or see them in person??

One silly thing I’ve been thinking about lately is what you’re going to do about social media stuff. I hear so many stories about people who feel like they missed out on sharing the happy news because it got leaked on facebook! So maybe have a plan for how you’re gonna deal with that- maybe de-activate your account (if you have one, of course) before you leave for vacation? And get him to do the same?

Although my guy and I are already “unofficially” engaged, I am expecting the big question popping when I go visit him in February.  He’s been getting the family stone his grandma gave us reset (at least, I hope he’s done it…I’ve not said a peep about it after we decided on the setting!) and he wants to plan a big surprise, so we’re waiting to tell people untill I have the ring and a story to tell.

Since we are in a LDR at the moment, I’ve had lots of time to prepare.  I am keeping a close watch on my nails, opting for very light natural polish so that even if it chips a bit it still looks ok.  I’m also planning on getting a brow wax and facial right before I go.  I always feel prettier after.

I think everyones ideas are great – especially about making sure cameras and phones are charged.

I love Disney!  Do you think he will propose there?  Or could it be any time within that sort of window?
