Yes I think that its a perfect solution. And honestly im thinking that they might not even show up. Im sorry your going through this, but it sounds like you have great parents who will do whatever it takes to make your day special.

We had a very similar issue at my wedding. Both my parents and my ILs didn’t want to sit with our aunt/uncles for various reasons. We ended up just making a huge head table with us, our bridal party and our parents. We had our aunts and uncles sitting with our grandparents. It worked for us and eliminated drama because our families still got to sit together and our parents felt very special being included at the head table.

I think it’s the best option at this point. Maybe you can also shift some family members who are on good terms with them.

I think this is a good option/compromise. Honestly, if there is so much tension, your aunt and uncle will probably be more comfortable (maybe even grateful) sitting with their children.
