We are on a super tight budget, but are willing to pay for the right thing.. At first we were going to have the ceremony and reception on his family’s property. But, then I ran into this farm that I love! He said to choose what I love but also that will give us the most bang for our buck.
What would you do??
Option 1: Family’s property is $1900 for tent + $1000 for hanging fabric, haybales for tables and chairs, family needing to set up and break down, buy and make our own decorations ($450), portapotties ($300), flowers ($300+), DJ would be a friend with an iPod, barn, tractors, small kitchen, ABC license ($35), borrow/buy dishware and heating stuff, dance floor ($350) = $4335 at the slimmest IDEAS FOR BUDGET WELCOME 🙂 🙂
Option 2: Khimaira Farm is $4500 for EVERYTHING like tables, chairs, flowers, decorations, set up and breakdown, 3 helpers, DOC, barn, patio, outdoor/indoor ceremony options, cheap DJ, webcam option, set up for slideshow, bring your own alcohol/bartender, dance floor etc. BUT I’d want to add our own signage and decorations too..
I’m leaning towards the 2nd, but I know that we could probably pull off doing it at his family’s property for cheaper if we didn’t do certain things..
For food, his family is “catering” so that’s basically free.
AH I DON’T KNOW WHAT TO DO!!!
