I have ordered the world famous flip flops from Brazil, and had them gift wrapped for my bridesmaids. I accidently had mine wrapped but not one of the BMs flipflops. So I took off the wrapping paper(so I could wrap the right set) as safe as I could to keep it looking nice.
Anyway, I noticed on my Bridesmaid or Best Man flipflips there was a tag with the price sticker still on them. I never figured that if people want things wrapped as gifts the company would keep the price sticker on them.
So now I dont know what to do. I have four more pairs of wrapped flipflops that probably have the price stickers still on them. Should I just leave them alone or try to unwrap them and take the price off?? Though it might make the wrapping paper look kind of messy when I wrap them back up.
What would you do?? Is it worth the hassle?

It depends, if they’re world famous flip flops (I know nothing of these, I’m so out of all the loops) chances are they’ll already know the rough price. In that case, why bother possibly ruining the gift wrap? Did you pay extra for the gift wrapping? Is the wrapping so pretty that you couldn’t replace it with something else? If they’d know the price, I’d probably leave them. If I paid extra, I’d probably contact the company and demand the money back.

The right thing to do here, is to unwrap the gifts and rewrap them (be that in the same paper, or some other)
Leaving the price tags on is tacky… and not appropriate when it comes to gift giving
IF you did indeed pay extra for the wrapping service from the company, I’d certainly complain because they didn’t do this correctly at all. Hopefully you can get some sort of refund because of that.

@MerryWidow: Their world famous but I didnt find out about them until a couple years ago. 🙂 I found out that they are the original flip flops. This is where the idea of flip flops came from.
Anyway, yeah I did pay extra. Though it was 5 bucks a pair. And I know its tacky with the price stickers on them, but what a pain to do it. Luckily the tape is not that sticky so its feasible, but I need to call them up and tell them they have to stop doing that. Though the price sticker on there is not what I paid.
Oh well. Im just gonna have to suck it up and do it sometime when Im not in a hurry. Thanks bees. 🙂

I don’t think it’s a big deal. Many people know exactly how much havianas cost anyway.

I’m from both schools of thoughts. That being said, if I discovered a price tag, I would be really OCD and want to fix it myself. Though I don’t think I’d take it as far as demanding the company fix it. 😛 Maybe just a gentle review to the seller.

I’m with Blanche on this one. I don’t think it’s worth the hassel to unwrap and rewrap them all.

No matter what I do, I will be letting the company know that they really should not do that for gift wrapped items.
