Chris4 :  I’m sorry but this sounds so fake! Basically this bride is reaching sky high levels of HORRIBLE and MEAN person…

Solution: this groom should call off the wedding and dump the bride or he’ll regret marrying her for life!

Is the bride’s name Jessiquah by any chance? Because that would make perfect sense…

You claim the bride and groom are attractive – I don’t need to see them to know they’re the kind of ugly no amount of working out and makeup can hide…the bride for suggesting and the groom for entertaining this nonsense.

As a professional rather than friend, you’re in a tricky situation. I’d try to gently talk the bride out of it, make up some hypothetical story in which you’ve seen this before and it didn’t end well. It’s nice (?) that you’re trying to defend your client, but having worked with and for people I find genuinely distasteful, you don’t have to justify them as good people just because they pay you. You still have rent to pay and you have to earn money, sometimes it’s by working for horrible people. You don’t have to try and see the good in them – because it sounds like you’e grasping at straws trying to think of any humanizing way to portray this godawful couple. They deserve each other.

Why are you defending her? There is no way to make this ok. You ‘don’t think she means to be superficial’, it’s just that she wants to kick out a good friend because he doesn’t look good enough… mmkay. Tell her that you will have no part in kicking out this groomsman and it is a horrible thing to do. I hope the groom is sticking up for his friend. I hope none of this ever reaches the ears of the poor groomsman. He deserves better friends.
