I’ll bet this is the store trying to scam you, not the designer. I’d throw a shit fit at the store and demand they order a new dress.

I would throw a fit as well! Take pictures of the imperfections and demand they fix them. A good thing about it coming early, is they might have time to send a new one.
who is the designer?
and what kind of reviews does this bridal shop have online?
@JessayBessay: First, I would probably cry out of sheer frustration.

This is most definitely not okay. I can’t believe a reputable bridal shop would try to pass off an obviously damaged dress as a new designer gown! Why would they want to potentially damage their reputation as well as the reputation of the designer? I mean, I understand the concept of a scam … But I just can’t understand why they would think you’d even be willing to accept a dress in that condition.
I would freak out at them until they sent me a brand new dress. That is sooooo not acceptable.
The shop needs to get u a dress in good shape. Period. Make them do it. If they don’t, threaten them that you will post bad reviews on their shop in bridal forums. Bridal shops market is very sensitive to that- they know that brides are very close to forums, and a bride would not take a risk on a shop with a bad review….
Be firm. Make them fix it. Now.
