So I bought my dress over christmas- David’s Bridal V8377. I’m totally in love with it (the train is insane!), except for the neckline. It’s a halter strap, which I really don’t like the look of on me. This is me in the dress:

So the question is: what do I do? I really, really don’t like strapless- in fact, going into this, I thought i wanted sleeves. I’m debating btwn straps similar to what’s there, just straight down instead of halter, or something gauzy/lacy… thoughts?

If the straps attached to the back of the dress rather than behind your neck, I think it would look a lot better. If you don’t have the extra material to make the straps uniform in material all the way to the back, you might change to an entirely different material after the straps go over your shoulders. You could give yourself criss-cross chiffon straps on the back for example. Does that make sense?

I think lace or chiffon cap sleeves would be very pretty. Or you could do the bolero thing.
