Well it’s a bit hard to tell only seeing part of your face. Not sure if it’s round or heart shaped. But your hair is very fine like mine, I thing trimming it and adding layers will really bring in more volumeand frame your face nicely.   Your hair looks nice and healthy so that’s going for you! As for color its only if you feel you need a change. I personally colored my hair after I had gone through so many different hair styles over the years the next change seems like color. Also find a great stylist, and see what they recommend for your face, they have change my mind a few times after a little consultation.

I think something like this would look really nice with your length and skintone.

I would lose about 6″ and add some long layers in, especially around your face.  Your hair is beautiful but theres not much going on, I’d ad some interest for sure.  Have you ever tried balayage?  I think some brightness in it would give you some great depth!

kreeneth:  That’s exactly why I love it!  I have dark brown hair and 2 kids.  I don’t have enough time or money to worry about my roots so much lol!  Plus I think the color on the ends is fun for summer, looks like you spend too long at the beach and your hair lightened naturally. 🙂

It looks like you have quite fine hair, I do too.
I love subtle balayage like these guys do https://www.facebook.com/hairbysalt/# https://www.instagram.com/balayagebymatt/?hl=en
I have very fine hair and if I go with the natural, just hot by the sun look it makes my hair look fuller and more volumuos without causing lots of damage like a more all over colour would do.
I have fine hair that lays quite flat, it can be really hard getting layers that don’t make it look thin and wispy. Try asking people with fine hair that you like where they get theirs done and which stylist did it and go to them. My hair can look nice and full when done well, but cant take heat everyday so I bad cut can linger.

I think you’d look great going a couple shades darker. With your pale complexion, its very vampy/snow-white.. I think it’d be really sexy. You definitely need a cut to add some body to your hair–is it naturally so pin-straight, or did you straighten it?

From what I can see of you, you look a lot like laura prepon.. and while she was pretty enough on that 70’s show with her light, reddish hair… she’s a bombshell as a dark brunette.. I can see that working for you, too.

Scarlett Johansson and Emma Stone have also rocked the pale skin and dark hair look.

I wouldn’t take it black though, I personally think it looks way better when its concievably natural… all three of them went black at one point.. I dont think its half as appealing, but thats just me.

Oh, and I know its the summer and everyone says you should go lighter in the summer, darker in the winter.  MEH.  If you look good you look good.  Its not like naturally dark haired girls suddenly look crappy in the summer… do whatever you like, IMO.

Since your hair is fine already, keeping most of the length but adding layers will make the ends look very thin as if it needs the taily ends cut off.

If you’re wanting to keep most of the length I would skip layers in the back and feather around your face to add some shape.

ladycirtolthiel:  Um, yeah, that sounds like they didn’t use permanent dye or something.. even semi-permanent dye lasts longer than that.  Are you sure you didn’t just get used to it?

I would keep the color as it sounds like either you hair doesn’t take color well, or maybe you were using the wrong kind of shampoo. I think it might not keep color.

I would love to see something going on near your face. Long layer bangs, or the kind in the first picture. Whatever you do, you have the length to add really great layers!
