@SweetandSimple:  My first instinct was balloons!  I went googling them and my word some of these ideas are gorgeous! 🙂 I love your ceremony space, by the way!

Your venue also made me think of this venue in California:

There’s also this idea:

Shepherd’s hooks are cheap and easy (if that is actually ground I see there):

I love pengoala’s first pic of the fabric suspended from the helium balloons!

Can’t you just picture that over the ceremony?

I also thought of balloons- but on a smaller scale. I see a row of those huge round white balloons as a backdrop to the ceremony.

@leecy87:  I have no idea if it’s something that can be DIY – looks like it’s fabric and balloons hung on some kind of wire – but I imagine whatever they’re hung on has to be pretty strong.  Probably could? 🙂

You need some sort of arch to stand under. . . Not entirely sure what direction you’re going for, but here are some pretty ideas:

@leecy87:  You can see the lines holding down the canopy on the right side of the photo. This was an installation by Gustafson Porter at the Vencie Architectural Biennale..

@leecy87:  I think it could be done, but it could be quite costly. I would think you would need to do a trial run to figure out how many balloons would be necessary to hold up the fabric.

It certainly could be done on a lesser scale- using just one length of fabric as a canopy over the ceremony.
