I would not want a colored stone, especially pink. I think they look pretty but I wouldn’t be able to deal with something so bold for the rest of my life.

Hmm…
No halo, yellow gold, heart shaped stone, channel set stones, wide band. These are just not my taste, but I do have an appreciation for all rings.

For me, it would’ve been a heart-shaped stone. There were other things I didn’t want (diamond, yellow gold, a high setting), but I could’ve tolerated them – I don’t think I could’ve handled a heart, though.

I think the only deal breaker for me would have been in the shape of the diamond, because I really, really wanted a round.
Of course there are plenty of other things I wouldn’t have necessarily wanted, but I would only ask for an upgrade in the case of shape.

I wouldn’t want a halo (although I’ve seen some I LOVE but I don’t think they suit me) or a big ring (large stone, high setting, thick band, etc) because I am clumsy and I have very tiny hands so it would overwhelm me.

I haaaaaate marquis and emerald cuts. I don’t mind them on other people so much, but I never ever ever want any jewelry with either, especially not my engagement ring. I also really hate thick thick bands and quad cuts.
Also not a fan of the big halos – they end up looking fake and gaudy, to me. I like pave halos with lots of tiny stones.

No halos, diamonds, czs, colored stones, quads or cluster. Also no marquis or hearts. Not me at all.
I think halos are beautful, and I do want a RHR with a halo, just not for my engagement ring.

I am VERY picky… that is why my SO is letting me choose my ring. Of course I want him to like it as well. Right now we both really like the Tiffany Soleste (with a yellow diamond), and the classic Tiffany round solitaire (but not sure a solitaire is really “me”). Hoping to get one of the two 🙂
Some things in general that I am not too keen on:
-yellow gold (unless it’s in the basket to put the yellow diamond in)
-white gold (needs to be re-plated and that’s annoying)… platinum is my metal of choice
-thick bands
-channel set
-I like all diamond shapes but for an engagement ring anything that isn’t cushion or round
-if it was a white diamond, below G color would be bad in my books
-below VS2 clarity would be bad
-below excellent/ideal cut would be bad
-not a fan of clusters
-anything below a one carat center stone
Sooo yeah, I have a lot of requirements haha. We’re not having a wedding so the ring is my main focus… I want it to be perfect for me and so does my SO. It’ll be something that I’ll wear forever and hopefully pass down one day.

yellow gold, white gold, or a halo! Halos are not my style and a lot of people in my circle get halos just to make their rings appear a lot bigger. I just don’t like them

I would ask for a different ring if it was yellow gold, any less color and quality than g vs2, princess cut, round, something my dad did not make ( he is a jeweler).

I would NOT want yellow gold, CZ, moissonite, or a cushion cut, I know cushions are popular on the bee but for me, ick. Also I don’t know what’s it’s called but this:(the metal all the way around the center stone.) Don’t like that either.

I would not want anything that wasn’t ethically sourced and traceable (the Kimberly process is highly flawed).
