I want to make grilled cheese sandwiches for my husband and I, but besides tomato soup, what have you put with this sandwich. I want to try something different.
What did you pair with the grilled cheese sandwich and it turned out fantastic?? Thanks bees. 🙂

I was going to say tomato soup, but you don’t want tomato soup! :'(
I don’t know what else goes.. hmm… I would probably go crazy by adding about 3 or 4 different kinds of cheese and some red pepper aioli. Would serve with salad or some fresh vegetabls to add a bit of healthy goodness!

I make “grilled cheese” as a dish unto itself. Brie, pears, and raspberry preserves. Or apples, bacon, cheddar and fig jam. Or apples and gruyere. mmmm

@Earlybride: Cesaer salad came to mind, but really any salad would be good. French fries or your favorite vegetable would be good, too. I’m a grilled cheese and tomato soup person, too 🙂

chicken noodle soup, baked potato soup (with bacon :D), seasoned green beans

@Earlybride: Why not do grilled cheese and fried green tomotoes? Or if you aren’t in the mood, broiled hot house tomotoes with mozzarella are neat!

I second a salad with the works – apples, toasted pecans, dried cranberries, and whatever veggies you like with a vinegarette. I’d usually add some feta but that might be cheese overload.

@Earlybride: I like putting fried bologna on my grilled cheese. It’s obviously super healthy )not), but it’s delicious!!!

Another grilled cheese sandwich. And Chipotle. #chubby4lyfe

I like adding more to my grilled cheese – tomatoes and ham or bacon. Serve with a side salad?

@Earlybride: my first thought was tomato soup. I guess I’d say a salad. add some bacon, ham, prosciutto or pepperoni and basil or arugula to your sandwich as well.

I think this looks like a darn tasty grilled cheese sandwich.
