Pick the sylist you like better.  Just tell your sister’s friend that you are really worried about her commuting there, and don’t want to risk it.  You opted to go for a local stylist.  Thank her for her help, be gracious, and mention that you’d call her in the future if you have an local formal events you’d need your hair done for.

Cancel that shiz and pick the better stylist.  Getting there by bus, no time to fix your trial, runs late- is she kidding?  I’m all for people using public transportation, but not for this.  Go with a professional, since she’s obviously not.

It’s a business relationship… choose the vendor who gives you the best product at the best price.  It’s the same logic you’d use for any other purchase.  – If you weren’t thrilled about the quality of the flowers and weren’t sure that the delivery would be on time you’d find another florist, even if the first shop was run by a friend of a friend.

You did a trial run and it wasn’t what you expected, so you are 100% in your rights to contact the lady and tell her that you appreciate her help, but you’ve decided to go in another direction.  (You may want to let your sister know that you’ve made that call right after you’ve notified the hair dresser – to prevent any potential drama there.)
