While looking for tiny clothespins for one of my DIY projects on Amazon, I saw a link to this baby shower game below:
It is called “My Water Broke.” Basically, the host freezes little toy babies in ice cubes, and whoever’s baby gets free first yells “My water broke!” and wins a prize.
What would you think about this game if you were a shower guest? Fun? Too silly? Creative? Weird? Tacky? Why?

I voted fun and creative! I like it because guests can chit chat while watching their ice cube babies. And also, there’s no thinking involved. I really dislike when I get to a baby shower and I’m handed 20 impossibly scrambled words that take me 30 minutes to riddle out!

OMG, SO fun!!!! ha ha ha ha, i’m laughing at my desk… that is freaking HILARIOUS!!! I love it. Do it! I voted fun AND creative. Never seen it before, and it’s awesome. Would totally do it if i were hosting a shower 🙂

I would laugh my butt off playing this while in a cake and punch induced fog!
I’m imagining a bunch of us middle-aged women trying to make the ice melt faster.
Gertie – can I use your lighter?? Florence – get that out of your mouth! That’s cheating!!

hahaha the idea is cute, but since its essentially watching ice melt i am not sure it would be all that fun!

I love this game…we actually used this at a baby shower…but we put the baby in a bottle and whoever had the baby free yelled my water broke….the ladies could use any method to melt faster…(i.e. drinking from the bottle, putting the bottle in their purses, or even in the blouses….) it was hilarious!

i think its hysterical- but i don’t think id do it at a big shower with lots of family. people can get awkward about stuff like that. in my circle of friends we’d have fun with it, though.
