I was just wondering how others self care when you’re feeling down, having a bad day, etc. I’m waiting on some significant medical test results next week and I just can’t get my mind off of it. So far, I’ve been just trying to focus on cute puppies on the bee and relaxing with a good book when I’m not at work.
I’d love to hear what other’s ideas or processes are for self care. 🙂

I get a jar of pickles, sit on the floor and watch I Love Lucy while eating pickles out of the jar.
Occasionally, I just rewind that scene in American Psycho where Patrick Bateman kills Jared Leto with an ax for hours until I feel better.

A hot bath, a face mask, Netflix, and red wine. And chocolate.

I try and plan a day/afternoon/weekend of all my favorite lazy things! I’ll get myself my favorite snacks and watch one of my favorite shows or play some of my favorite computer games (Sims, Nancy Drew, etc.). I normally take a bath, but right now our water heater doesn’t heat up our tub enough. 🙁 Basically I’m just super gentle with myself and do my favorite lazy things, guilt free!

Taking a shower or bath! Watching trashy TV and eating a good snack. Doing yoga and/or getting a massage. Reading the Bee!

A hot bath with a bath bomb. Put a face mask on and just soak. This brought me out of a terrible mood a couple weeks ago!

I buy something. Like a fancy coffee or a bouquet for my nightstand.
Not very healthy but oh well.

A steamy hot bath (complete with bubbles, oils, and bath bombs!) while I listen to a podcast. Also indulging in some good food later on is a must.

My bad days usually tend to involve a lot of anger. Watching people being hacked up with an axe seems to soothe me.

I got a puppy. She whines for my attention all day everyday.

partypizza : I take a day to just be by myself and do whatever I feel like. I actually did it last week! Some days I netflix binge. Others I go on a rampage and clean all the things. I’ve also done shopping days with mani/pedis. The key for me is to be ALONE. I love being alone lol.
