I don’t particularly like the name myself, but yes it does sound boyish. I would never mistake a Pierson for a girl.

i agree with @BerryBerry:  don’t like the name all that much, but it is definitely a boy’s name, not unisex or girly 🙂

That is the name my Darling Husband and i have picked out as well. We like the idea of calling him Pierce! We feel it is a strong nams that not every kid will have !

I actually kind of like it.  I’ve only ever heard it as a last name (Pearson), but if I saw it, I would assume boy.

Like PPs, I’m not a big fan of it, but it’s definitely masculine.

As a Canadian, I would expect it to be spelled Pearson (who was one of our Prime Ministers).  And it would be a distinctive, smart name for a boy.  And it would definitely not be a girl’s name.

I like Pierce (though I think it’s getting a little too popular for my taste), I think Pierson is probably just one of those names you probably have to get used to before you get attached to it. If you like the name, don’t feel bad about what other people think of it. We got a lot of mixed reviews from people in our family about our little girl’s name, but all that matters is that WE love it. Same goes for you and Darling Husband. If you both love the name, don’t let the opinion of others sway you 🙂

Good choice!! I REALLY like it. Dont listen to all the negative opinions who knows the names they like. Spelling is your pick. I say go for it! : )
