I don’t neccesarily hate it or love it. I guess it does sound more like a boys name than a girls but I think he is going to have to constantly correct people about what his name it since it isn’t a familiar name.

@roxy: what is so difficult about the name that he will have to correct people? It is a pretty straight forward as far as im concerned.

@KatieKitKat:  The spelling of the name will always need to be helped/corrected, it’s just not a common name and unless someone who regularly sees him would have any clue what the name is ๐Ÿ™‚

Would you ever actually call him Pierson, or would you call him Pierce?

The reason I ask, is because I like Pierce, but I just can’t get on board with Pierson. To me, I can’t picture a little boy or a grown man introducing himself as “Pierson”, which is usually how I figure out if I like a name or not. To me, it’s a bit awkward and sounds almost stuffy.

I DO like the name Pierce though, it’s very masculine. I feel like a guy named Pierce would be a cool, hot guy who drives a great car. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Like the name, not the spelling.

I give it a thumbs up! It sounds intellectual and business-like.

It’s definitely not a girly name.  Out of the two, I prefer Pierce (who doesn’t think of Mr Brosnan!).

But I do think it’s important to consider the surname(s) it will be connected to. After all, this little chap will have it all his life…

I like it! It’s different, but still masculine and not too “overdone” like some similar names.

I like Pierson a lot, and I would assume it was a boy’s name.

Not a huge fan of Pierson, although I like Pierce.  It definitely sounds like a boy’s name though.
