originally I had my heart set on Charlene by David Tutrera, then i realized after i bought an a-line dress by stella york *6026* that I do NOT like a-line, ballgown looking dresses on me so I went and got a mermaid dress by Mori Lee *3184*

legojedi:  I know exactly how it feels!!

my dream wedding dress used to be this one: lace, 3/4 sleeve with a very simple or no train…

But I ended up buying this one below. Never thought I would love strapless trumpet dress… I’ve tried like 8-10 dresses but ended up loving this dress better than the rest.. 😂

desirella:  I tried on a Wtoo dress super similar! I loved it but ended up going with something else. My figure isn’t as good as yours! I’m so boyish and straight up and down. The dress is so simple and I adore it, but not right for me :/

When I started dress shopping, I wanted something really unique, non-bridal, and whimsical – no bling, no poof. And I ended up with a very generic looking poofy, blingy dress that I never would have tried on if my friend hadn’t forced me into it!

The dress I obsessed over for months, but didn’t look quite right on me:

The dress I thought I almost bought:

The dress I ended up choosing (mostly because it was so damn comfortable and had a super dramatic train!)

I bought the exact dress I wanted before I went shopping. In fact, it’s the first dress I ever pinned on Pinterest! There were other top contenders, but it won out in the end. 🙂

This was the photo I had pinned:

And here it is on me!

I was so sure that I wanted the big princess ball gown but when I tried a few on, I felt that they made me look bigger around my middle than I thought they would and they were so heavy and overwhelming with all of the material! I knew I wanted to just “try on” a mermaid style dress but I didn’t know if I would like my body in it. I out my dress on and it felt like HOME!
