I’m “throw a dart at Western Europe and you’ll probably hit a country I have ancestry in” American.  He’s Japanese.  We live in Japan.

Fiance is English and Eskimo.

I’m German and English for the most part; I’m sure there are other Europeans mixed in there as well.

@tobemrstaddesse:  I thought nationality meant which country you belong to, either by birth or naturalization? Do I have this wrong?

Anyway, my future husband is born american with british and german ancestors ( I assume that’s what you were asking)

I was born in Slovakia but am a citizen of Czech Republic. As far as I know that is my ethnic background as well, although I think some Irish might have been mixed in there as well.

I am American, though on my father’s side there was relatively recent immigration from England and Ireland. My mother’s side has been here since at least the 1700s.

My Fiance is English and lives in England now. His whole family has since forever.

Both Canadian, but his parents are Chinese so he obviously isn’t white. My long ago ancestors were mostly Scottish.
