I’m in San Francisco and my DJ is about $1695, not including tip/tax.  That was a real bargain, I found lots of DJs that were double that price and higher.

Where is your wedding?  The answer to your question will vary lots by location.

If we weren’t getting a deal because he’s a friend, it’d normally be $900.00 for ceremony and reception.

Paying approximately $1900 for a DJ AND Photobooth for 5 hours. The DJ alone was $1200 for 5 hours in Northern CA. Also get unlimited planning meetings etc.

We are getting married in North Alabama, and we found an awesome deal with a guy for 350.00 for 5 hours and lights and planning and assistant. So far he has been super.

Other then that every other DJ we looked into, from Bridal fairs and advertisments and even the phone book were gonna be at least $1000.00

For northern NJ, we’re getting DJ and MC, 4 light show, cocktail hour, and 4 hours reception for $1290 which is around normal or just below for my area.

Your price is actually low for all it includes.  We’re paying just over $1k, maybe $1,300 for a dj and mc for 6 hrs.  It includes the equipment.  No lights or any other things.  All lighting is extra.
