I love my wedding dress! I’ve never felt so beautiful and princessy. It’s pretty expensive and I’ve only worn it once so..
I wanna wear my wedding dress again! Haha.
Any suggestion as to what I could do just so I can wear my dress again?
** I asked DH (who’s into photography) to do a pictorial of me in my wedding dress at home doing usual home stuff (like watching TV while eating popcorn, or cooking in the kitchen, etc.) but he said it’s only been 5 months since our wedding and I should be thinking of that after at least a year! Oh well

@summerSmile: Your dress is very pretty, Since it is pink, I would just hem the train, and wear it to an evening event, with some standout jewels.

My husband and I talked about how many places we wished we could have been married… So we thought it’d be a cool idea to put on our wedding things every year in the fall and go to those place to take photos. Every year we’d wear our wedding clothes and get photos at the beach, in front of a haunted house we love, in the woods, in the city, absolutely anywhere that is special to us. Then we could have a super cool photo collection of us as we age and in our wedding stuff. We also have a reason to stay ‘fit’ enough to fit in them hahahah. Sounds strange but I think it’d be fun.

I love this idea: A group of friends all got together for a photo shoot after they had all got married. May not be any good for you now, but my group of friends and I have already made this pact that we will have a photo shoot after the last of us gets married.

@mllebertin: Thanks! It has a bustle so I wouldn’t have to cut the train! I’m just afraid I might be overdressed for an event if I wear my dress.. unless I attend the Oscars ๐
@Lollybags: Great idea! I would love to have a tea party with my girls on our wedding dresses. It wont be anytime soon though as 3 of them aren’t married yet ๐
@HappilyEverAfter54: I’ve thought of that but my dress is huge to carry around that when I brought it to our Destination Wedding venue the dress itself counted as my 1-pc handcarry allowance. So it would be pretty challenging to bring it around. I love that idea though! I wish we could do that too!
@clumsylawyer: I love it! Maybe someday when all my girls are married ๐

@summerSmile: my dress is a massive ball gown, I mean HUGE. I just shove it in the car and go. We probably won’t take it anywhere crazy but I might end up bringing it on a cruise so we can get some tropical pictures at some point. ๐

One of my friends and my sister reused their wedding/deb dresses by dressing up with a couple of friends, doing big hair and makeup (think Marie Antoinette) and having a tea party/picnic in the middle of town. It was great fun and everyone down the street loved it! Little girls were lining up to have their photo taken with the “princesses.”
We’re hoping to do it again next year or maybe the year after, so I’ll get a chance to wear my dress again

What about on your 1st anniversary.. you don your dress and your hubby rents a tux.. rent a limo to take you around for the night and go to a fancy dinner (yes, you’ll be overdressed but it will be fun! haha) OR do a moonlit picnic in the park with candles and chocolate covered strawberries (battery operated string-lights?) and the like and then in a park ask the limo driver (or your own car if you don’t want to rent a limo) to blast some slow tunes (pre-prepare an mp3 list or CD) and have your own little private ‘reception’ in the park where you can dance. ๐

@summerSmile: Do a rock the dress shoot! One of my friends did it with her hubby and I keep trying to talk DH into it. So far it’s a no go, but I won’t give up!
They both went uber casual and the pictures turned out AMAZING

@summerSmile:
Can you dance? And by dance, I mean waltz, foxtrot, tango, swing, rumba, etc.
If the answer is yes, you might want to consider a trip to Vienna with its 400 plus white and black tie balls per year. With the exception of the Vienna Opera Ball, most take place at the Imperial Habsburg Palace in the centre of the city. My husband and I love the ball scene in Vienna, and go every year. Ball season begins on 31 December and extends through the carnival season.
I don’t know where you live, but any formal or semi-formal i.e., white or black tie) evening event will be perfect. I made a post several months ago, about rewearing a white dress, which is far more difficult, but you have it much easier as your dress is pink.
