I’ve seriously considered doing an annivesary photo shoot in my dress, with us cutting our top tier and all, a la this: http://weddinggawker.com/post/2012/07/26/27848/
Also I know an older woman who is quite fit and every year puts her wedding dress from 20 years ago on on her anniversary. I wish I could do that, and maybe turn on our First Dance song and dance around, that’d be so lovely 😀

@summerSmile: I knew of group of friends that all saved their dresses and after they all were married they all put them on again and got a photo session with all five girls – it could be super fun!
I have a long gown for my rehearsal but its basically a chiffon grecian – I am getting it dyed so I can wear it again a million times!!! Best 60 bucks I ever spent!

we might be in Japan for our 1 year anniversary, and I kind of want to bring the dress and take pictures at one of the shrines or at Mt Fuji or something…DH thinks I’m nuts but would totally do it…now I have four months to lose the twenty pounds I’ve gained since the wedding!

Love, love, LOVE your dress (mine is pink, too 🙂
I don’t think you need an excuse! Put it on whenever it strikes your fancy 🙂 I have a long dress and am doing a second, short dress (hot pink) that I absolutely can and will wear a lot 🙂

I have a (semi-serious) plan to get invited to the premiere of a big movie in a year or two (it’s about the life of a relative of mine with proper Hollywood stars in!). I may have to dye my dress… 🙂

My girlfriends and I have already decided that once the last one gets married (next year) we are going make our men dress up in their suits and us in our dresses for a “fake gala” dinner party!

I had a wedding dress I had bought for a halloween costume (bridezilla) that I wore on my honeymoon cruise. We took some fun photos, just with our cheap point and shoot camera. It was a lot of fun! My camera broke and we lost the pictures, but there are a lot of strangers out there who have pics to prove it. Lots of people were stopping us to get pictures with us.

if it’s pank (pink) use it as an excuse to drag your hubby down here to come to the Mardi Gras — just make sure you can get invited to a ball!

@Lollybags: Love this idea!! So cute, and what a good photo op with your girlfriends!

@summerSmile: I love the Rock the Dress photoshoot idea! My bff & her hubby did one on their 1 year anniversary. Much more casual style in contrast to his black tux & her formal up-do from their wedding. Their pics turned out beautiful! http://www.pizzutistudios.com/2010/03/01/rock_the_dress_portrait_session/
The same photographers featured a “Live the Dress” shoot, similar to what you mentioned in your origianl post: http://www.pizzutistudios.com/2013/04/15/live-the-dress-2/

Lol I think its funny everyone wants to wear them again. I wore my mom’s and I had to wear so many layers and a corset and I would never want to wear it again. Plus it felt so great to wear that day. I don’t think I’d get that feeling wearing it again.
If I had bought my own I might feel like you guys do though. I’d want to get more use out of something I paid so much money for.

get your vows renewed in a different place every year (on your anniversary) and wear it again there?
