@KristenGotMarried: Ugh, both Valentines day and He’s just not into you were advertised so much for the incredible cast that we expected it to be amazing.  But it was horrible.  I was so disappointed, in those movies.

@Golden139: Thanks 🙂

Titanic: I didn’t like the suggestion that to escape and be saved from her overbearing family the girl had to sleep with the guy (and in the back of the car).

@KristenGettingMarried: I was disappointed with “He’s Just Not That Into You” too. I was interested in it mostly to see how the heck they would take a book like that, which is not a story, and create believable characters with any depth and a plot with any substaintial arc.

Love Actually!! I know it’s like everyone’s favorite romcom ever and it had some great actors in it, but I just was NOT invested in the characters. In general, I think that ensemble-type movies w/many multiple storylines are hard to pull off.

I also hated He’s Just Not that Into You.

Oh, and basically every Judd Apatow film. I love stupid humor (Happy Gilmore & Anchorman are movies I can watch over and over again), but it bugs me what chauvinistic assholes the guys in his movies are, and the fact that they always get these awesome women at the end. I’ve tried to like them but they just bug me.

In general, I find that I’m kind of over what I call “unhappy marriage” films. You know, the movies about marriages falling apart or severely dysfunctional, unhealthy relationships. Tehh Squid and the Whale comes to mind (though that’s not a super popular movie, by any means). And though I admired the acting in in Revolutionary Road, after about 45 minutes I found myself asking “what’s the POINT?”

I’d also like to offer up anything with Brad Pitt, Fight Club and Se7en excluded.  Sure, these movies are gross and not my favorite (big crush on Ed Norton though), but Brad did a good job and the storylines were interesting for the most part.  Everything else is MAJOR FAIL to me, especially Troy – which totally broke my heart since I’m in love with Roman and Greek history/mythology.  The man acts about as well as a piece of cardboard.

Nicholas Cage also keeps me from seeing a movie.  National Treasure wasn’t bad as a story, but I’m totally bummed they had to choose Mr. Cage.  His receeding airline and creeptastic general appearance freaks me out, man!

I’d like to offer up “No Country For Old Men”. It was horrible. Just bad. Imho, of course. But somehow, it was an Oscar winner a few years ago. Wtf?

@KristenGotMarried: I’m not a fan of Brad Pitt either, and don’t see the attraction. I did like him in Thelma and Louise, but I loved that movie overall.
