We’re spending $600 on red carnations, vases, and floral foam for 27 DIY centerpieces and flowers to line the aisle. However, I voted $800-$1,000 because this does not include our altar flowers (which are $170 and NOT DIY) or our bouquets/boutonnieres (which are artificial/brooch bouquets). When trying to figure out how much it’ll cost, don’t forget to add the cost of supplies like floral tape, flower food, pins and ribbons.

Also, we bought our flowers from the Los Angeles flower district for $2.50 per dozen, tax free. A dozen would have cost us $6.85 from fiftyflowers.com and $5.99 from costco.com, so we definitely got a great deal from the LA flower district. Do you have a flower district nearby?

Can you get any for free?  We bought sunflowers and greenery for centerpieces from Sam’s Club (they also made some “extra” arrangements and put sunflowers on my cake)….150…spent 500 on the “special flowers” from a florist (my bouquet, corsages that were attached by a magnet to vintage clutches I collected, 4 corsages for moms/grandmas, 9 bouts and hair flowers for flower girls) and then my aunts gathered roses from all their friends, this were arranged in mason jars and hung on sheppards hooks at the ceremony.

Those free roses saved the budget and were very pretty and simple for our vintage, outdoor, naturesque wedding!

My flowers were all ordered from a wholesaler because of work, and I paid $330 for enough flowers for 7 bouquets, 15 bouts, 10 corsages, and loose hydrangeas for half the centerpieces.

We did silk flowers (all half price from Hobby Lobby)

Two Bridesmaid or Best Man bouquets, my bouquet, and a toss bouquet

    Thirteen bouts (groomsmen/fathers/mothers/grandparents)

    10-12 centerpieces

Lot’s of extra in case I goof

It was just under $250. Not including ribbon or hot glue. Florist tape is like a dollar, so I didn’t really count it.

It just depends on how big you want the bouquets and centerpieces. I would say you could reasonably do $300-$350, if you are very sure of what you want, and only buy that.
