I typically work out after work during the week. however i have to get my saturday workouts in before noon or they won’t happen.

I always have to hit the gym in the afternoons right after work. If I put it off until later in the evening or the weekends I might not make it back out of the house!

The couple times I did try to workout in the mornings, it just didn’t feel right… I guess your body gets used to the routine, even down to the time of day that you usually go.

I like evenings because I can’t wake up any earlier than I already do!  I also work out 3 days a week at lunch.  Clicked too quickly on the poll so I missed the lunch vote!

I voted for both… but not in the same day. MWF I jog at 7:30am. Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday, I (sometimes) go to a 5:15pm class at the gym. If I skip the gym class, I jog in the evenings. I take probably 2 days off a week.

@ChuckNorris:  This is in the FITNESS boards, not the intimacy boards you dirty minds πŸ˜‰ jkjkjk.

I’m guilty. My mind went “intimacy” right away!

I prefer working out in the morning, but that is no longer practical. πŸ™ I’m a pre-service teacher, so I have to be at school by 7:30am or 8:00am every morning, and I have a bit of a commute. But now I’ve been way too tired to work out in the afternoon/evening! So I’ve slacked this semester. I promise I’ll start working out soon and it’ll be in the evening!

LOL! I usually workout (run) in the morning because it’s the only time I would probably do it. If I didn’t do it in the morning, I would probably create some excuse as to why i can’t/shouldn’t.

@ChuckNorris:  If it weren’t for my Krav Maga classes which happen in the evenings, I would be an exclusively morning exerciser. I like to spin and run in the mornings because then I have what seems like more time after work/school, etc. The hardest thing is getting into the pattern. I got my sleep schedule so that I was sleeping earlier and perfected my routine so that I could get to class on time, but it took a few weeks of doing it before it was something that was even close to “easy”. πŸ˜›

It depends. During the week I work out after work since I can’t wake up any earlier than I already do to go to work. But during vacation, I like to work out in the morning when I can go at my leisure.

It depends but generally morning is better for me, especially in the winter when the days seem so much shorter. When I get home from work in the evening it seems like it’s just one thing after the other and the next thing I know it’s 8pm and I’m in my comfy pants and working out is just. not. happening. As much as I hate waking up super early, I’m always super proud of myself for dragging my ass out of bed! In the summer though, I much prefer to run in the evenings.
