I actually wasn’t sure if this should have been ettiquite or not…but..
my fiance an i are still trying to find a place for the reception that we both like and can afford. so far we have found a place that we love, its per person price is very affordable and the restaurant is absolutely beautiful. the only possible problem is that it is in NYC. we live right next to NYC and more than accessable to subways, taxis, and its a sunday so there should be parking. the one drawback is the chagrin my Maid/Matron of Honor has about it, she keeps saying that its too inconvinent for people to get there, no one will want to pay to park, etc… i havent spoken to any one else yet so i dont know if this would be a genuine problem to them or just to her… i have been looking at places closer by (although the city is very close) the prices are actually more in some cases, some of them im not terribly crazy about, and the nicest one here is where my Maid/Matron of Honor had her reception so that turns me off. My fiance feels that if we both like it we should book it and the guests will have to find a way there (most of them do have cars) and that if they dont want to come out to the city, then they dont have to come (which would be less to pay for) the people that i want most to be there i know will be there regardless, so im not really sure what to do in this situation. i dont exactly want to sacrafice a place i love and spend more money just to have something my guests wont complain about. there have been wedding an hour or more from where i live and i have found a way to get there. sorry this is SO long. much thanks to those that read all the way down lol please help!! thanks 🙂
