I’m waiting for Darling Husband to get home from work so we can eat dinner and I’m starrrrrrving. All I can think about is food! What did/will you make for dinner?
I’m making pizza with Trader Joe’s garlic/herb pizza dough, zucchinis, and spreadable feta cheese. I plan to drizzle it all with a good quality olive oil and sprinkle on some Maldon sea salt when it comes out of the oven. I’m debating whether to make a second pizza with fresh heirloom tomatoes, basil, and mozzarella, or if we should supplement the zucchini pizza with our favorite open-faced tomato sandwiches with a thin layer of mayonnaise, basil, salt and pepper on thick, toasted slices of farmer’s market bread.
Aghhhhh so hungry!

Ahhhh Darling Husband just got home and he brought me FLOWERS! For my bday (which is tomorrow)! He never buys me flowers. I’m so happy!! 🙂 🙂 🙂
Will put up a new post later with a pic – they are gorgeous and would make a really nice wedding centerpiece (haha I can’t stop thinking about things in terms of weddings…)
He requested the tomato sandwiches so we’re going with option 2. Yumyumyum.

@TinyTina: Lemon herb salmon? Is it pre-frozen? Let me know how it is! I haven’t had much of their seafood.

We are having roast beef, mashed potatoes with gravy, corn, and a salad.

@elaineathon: Awwwww!! Happy birthday! My SO very, very rarely gets me flowers so I know how exciting that is!!
It’s pre-frozen… I usually go to Whole Foods for fish because you can get it fresh, but I was already at Trader Joe’s and it looked pretty good 🙂

All of your meals sound so good, you’re making me hungry!
I think tonight we’ll have steak, asparagus, and corn on the cob. Those tomato sandwiches sound heavenly and so tempting!

Aw, early happy birthday! I looooove flowers. Someone besides me should mention that to my FI! 😉 There were flowers at work today, and I, too, thought about them in terms of centerpieces! You’re not alone!
I had a bowl of oatmeal with frozen blueberries in it. Since I officially can’t breathe in the bridesmaid dress I have to wear in 3 weeks (and I may have popped the hook & eye… but it zips! I swear!), I am seriously dieting. I am eating a lot of healthy snacks throughout the day, though. Fiance had thin steaks on the grill with spice rub and tater tots. I ate one tater tot and one bite of steak because, seriously, how can I pass that up, no matter how hardcore I am dieting? ONE can’t be that bad, right?

Felt like comfort food tonight after a crappy day, so I made homemade lasagna, casear salad and garlic bread. Not overly originaly, but totally delicious, and tons of leftovers to have for lunch for the rest of the week!
