This is actually my first post!  I’m not even waiting, just a girl who loves all things wedding-planning, and I’m used to lurking.  But I have been fantasizing about an Atlanta wedding for years now (I went to college there), so I had to set up a log-in and respond to you!

What about some peach-themed personal items, like chapstick, hand-lotions, or mini candles?

Perhaps an old-fashioned Coca-Cola or two per bag with a brochure for the factory at the Underground?

Small (and hopefully discounted) Georgian or Southern cookbooks?

Gone with the Wind-inspired items?  If you can afford it, the dvd ($8 each on Amazon)?

An inexpensive souvenir highlighting one of Atlanta’s sports teams?  Keychains/coasters . . .

If you’re really into DIY, you could make a short cd with Georgia-themed music (Midnight Train to Georgia, Georgia on my Mind, etc.).  Once you’ve compiled the list and burned the first one, the rest should be really easy.

Sorry- I’m going overboard!  Hope this helps!

Love the Sweetwater idea! I think we are going to go to a “brewery tour” on the Wednesday or Thursday night before the wedding! I’m looking for ideas too, so excited to see what else people suggest!

Hey there!  We’re having lots of Out of Town guests at our ATL wedding.  Our welcome bags will have a bottle of Coke, some peach candies, Starbucks VIA and my fav part…HOTLanta Hot Sauce.   Not only is it made locally, but its really yummy!

We bought two cases, so the company gave us a discount.  The link to their site is below.  Hope that helps and good luck!!

Georgia is a big peanut producer so I think a bag of peanuts would be a great thing to add. You should check out this link for ideas, yeah some of the items are hokie, but it will help get your Out of Town idea wheel turning 🙂

Also the Atlanta area and north Georgia is well known for our Georgia Red Clay and their are lots of artisans in this part of the state who make pottery from it.
