I’m not a dr but ups it possible you have Crohn’s? I’m so sorry you’re feeling so bad ๐Ÿ™ that sounds hellish. Try to get some rest!

i know you said they checked stool samples… but did they specifically check you for clostridium dificile?

Look up cdiff online. Lots of people have ongoing issues because of it without diagnosis. Have you been on antibiotics between the hospital stays? I’m sure you have. That would do it.

I’m a RN, but I’m also basing this off of personal experience. I had cdiff after being on an antibiotic for my teeth.

Two things:

1) GET TO ANOTHER DOCTOR ASAP.  No internet search or message board will give you answers as accurately as a doctor.

2) Don’t assume that just because the majority of the people on this board are women that it means they’d have to be nurses.  Plenty of women are doctors. ๐Ÿ™‚  Sorry.  Just couldn’t let that slip!

I hope you’re feeling much better soon!

@Sunnybrook:  Luckily, I’d trust lots of my nurse coworkers over some doctors I work with anyday ๐Ÿ˜‰

@autumnlynnhill:  sounds like you have IBS. Do you go through stress a lot and feel bloated And gassy?

@autumnlynnhill:  Well thats good! I wouldnt wish cdiff on anyone.

My next suggestion would be to seek out a new GI if you don’t get answers. As tiring as it is, sometimes it is about finding the one doctor with a new idea. I would stay positive tonight, get rest and see what happens with the ultrasound.

You run risks with SBRs and hernia repairs just like any other surgery, but it would usually show in your labs if something went wrong after surgery (i.e. postop infections, leaks, etc)

Go for your ultrasound and keep us updated!

Could you possibly be very consitpated? One time, I got really sick and I was having horrible stomach pain, cramps, diarreha, felt really crappy overall, it hurt to press on my stomach as well. I ended up having an ultra sound & then an xray that showed I was actually constipated! I thought you couldn’t get constipated when you are going to the bathroom everyday, but apparently you can.

I’ve had other stomach issues as well, and was told I quite possibly have IBS. What always worked to make me feel better was lots of water, bland foods (plain oatmeal for example), and exercising.

Glad you’re having an ultrasound tomorrow. Try not to worry! You’re doing what you should be doing. Hope you feel better soon!

@autumnlynnhill:  some of the symptoms sound a bit like IBS. I am no doctor or nurse but my friend who is a doctor told me that was what I had. I also looked up webmd and saw similar things. Bloated, upper stomach pain, chest pain etc.

anxiety can cause the same thing too, also something in your diet is causing it too. Try to stick with lighter foods and stay away from heavy meats or dairy products to see if it helps your system.
