My Fiance and I have been waffling on our first dance song for a while now. So far we’ve come up with two options – Little Moments, by Brad Paisley, or The Love We’re In by the Barenaked Ladies.
The first one describes our relationship perfectly… I’m a bit of a klutz (and by a bit, I mean… a lot) and he always runs to my rescue, even when he’s laughing the whole time. But it’s country music. I really don’t like country music, and neither of us make a habit of listening to it.
The second is a song we both love and listen to on an almost daily basis. We’ve gone to see the band in concert. We dance to the song in the kitchen when he’s doing dishes and I’m making supper. But I’m not sure the lyrics (or the band’s name for that matter, haha!) are wedding-appropriate. There’s no swearing, or anything, but to me the lyrics don’t exactly come across as “romantic”.
So, I am asking the hive. 🙂 What’s more important to you, lyrics or the music? Would you pick one of these or keep looking?
