I don’t think this has been done yet, and hey. Christmas is less than 7 weeks away now!
So, what’s on everyone’s wish lists for Christmas this year? I’ll go first:
-Puzzle (apparently it’s good to do a puzzle/colouring before sleep rather than read or watch TV, so def want to give this a go as I find it hard to get to sleep)
-Books (mainly crime thrillers)
-Jewellery (I’ve send OH links to a few pieces on Blue Nile)
We send each other a big list every year and then set a max spend budget (so I will only receive a few of those things); we also do a stocking for each other with smaller things and favourite sweets/snacks.

For Santa’s elves to pay for the wedding.

now that would be an awesome gift! lol

I don’t make Christmas lists for my partner, for me that takes away any joy from the gift.
This year we will be in the midst of moving and renovating so we are going to gift each other an experience so we can have something to look forward to in early January. Any physical items I just buy for myself through the year I want them.

yeah we started doing lists because we’re both pretty fussy, and also tend to buy things we want as we go (so if it’s on the list, we’ll hold off buying it). There is still an element of surprise in that we don’t get everything, and some things are general (eg puzzle/books/swimsuit he would pick). A lot of people think it’s weird but I know otherwise we would each end up with things we don’t want which is a waste.
I like experiences as gifts; we usually do that for our respective birthdays and wedding anniversary (usually hotel and dinner and the hotel/restaurant is a surprise for one of us). I’ve also done experiences (mainly opera/ballet/theatre tickets) for my parents for the last few years; this year I’ve got them tickets to Carmen at the Royal Opera House, and then I’m taking my mum to Motown the Musical and my dad to the Lion King.

Yeah, all couples and families do it differently and I find it so interesting to hear about different people’s Christmas traditions.
The Lion King is amazing! Great present.

he’s wanted to go for ages, but my mum really doesn’t want to go. Likewise she really wants to go to Motown the Musical and he doesn’t, so I figured I’d take each of them to the one they want to see and then I also get to go, bonus! lol

-sneakers, I walk a ton with my dog so I usually need a new pair each year
-charge bank thingie so we can extend the battery life on our phones on vacation
-sounds dumb, but I want a skateboard. I did it a lot as a kid and think it would be neat to zoom around on a long board!

-essential oil diffuser
-black ugg slippers (because other brands just don’t hold up)
-books on hand lettering/calligraphy/chalkboard fonts
-a monogram necklace
And I’m officially the most basic white girl on the planet 🤷🏼♀️

A wildlife camera – there was a bear in our yard a couple of weeks ago and if we’d had it, we might have proof beyond a dumped over trashcan. We also get deer/bucks/fawns, raccoons, skunks and very occasionally mountain lion. I want proof that isn’t scat, darn it!
That’s all I’m putting on my official list because I really, really want it – it’ll come from my parents, I already know. My husband, as per his usual, will likely buy me slippers and something or other that I never knew I wanted but use constantly. I don’t know how he does it.

World domination, to seek out the dark forces and join their hellish crusade.
And a jar of pickles.

portable chargers are a god send! We have 3 in different sizes/different numbes of charges (1/3/6) and they are SO useful; not just for travel 9came in super handy though when we went to Australia recently) but even for days out. I don’t leave without one now lol.

FI and I have decided to purchase a new top of the line mattress instead of Christmas gifts this year lol. We have somehow managed to sleep on his old mattress that he brought with him when we moved into our own house 4 years ago. It’s basically like sleeping on a sack of potatoes and rocks. We are also saving for a wedding and a forever home so a lot of our extra money goes into savings right now.

We just bought a new house and we’ll be moving in at the end of December. My wish list I would include new Furnishings for that house. Our current couch just isn’t going to work, so we’ll need to buy a new one. Plus new blinds and window treatments. I’m super excited! Plus, I’m hoping to schedule a little trip in January, before my new semester of my master’s program. We’ll see how that all works out.
