barbie86 :  You already bought 2/3 of your gifts? Okay, you’re probably doing better than most of us…ha…

I HATE rushing but I always end up falling into the last minute zone. I’m that girl who is ordering from Amazon Prime like 5 days in advance.smh

My Mother-In-Law is getting me a new pair of Uggs- my current ones are 10 years old and disgusting, and I don’t care if they aren’t cool anymore. I’m finally caving and getting a new pair because I love them.

From my parents, I’m just asking for money to go towards our trip to Japan.

Not sure what my husband is going to get me. I haven’t asked for anything and don’t really want anything in particular.

CanMurph :  I initially overlooked your comma there and thought a “drone dishwasher” was something particularly niche..!

barbie86 :  that’s the great thing about living in Europe. Traveling to other countries is super easy. Since I live in the midwest, USA, it would be quite an expense to travel to a different country. And traveling to the next state over, even though they are about the size of a typical European country, just isn’t the same. I mean, who really wants to travel to Kansas? Iowa?

My husband and I are planning a trip to Mexico after the new year. Just the two of us, drinks, and sand. It’ll only be in the 80s (temperature), but it’s better than nothing. I love hot weather.

I’m having such a hard time this year! We’re due with our first baby in March and just bought a house last year, so most of what we’re really wanting (read: needing) is more practical. I think we’ll ask my inlaws (who go way overboard) to fill some holes from our wedding registry (pots and pans, le Cruset, Roomba) then ask for some of the bigger baby items and money towards home projects.

DH and I know we have such ane expensive year coming up and took two international trips in the last 15 months, so we’ll probably set a pretty small limit. And, to be fair, he upgraded my e-ring for our anniversary in September and bought be a Roberto Coin diamond necklace for my 30th bday last month, so I’m not doing too shabby. What I’ll probably ask for:

-New Ansley UGG slippers (will be a godsend with a newborn in the cold months)

-nice nursing pjs/robe

-Gift cards for the spa I go to, Sephora, and a house cleaning service

-Monogramed bangle I’ve had my eye on from Mark & Graham

Basic B, representing!

barbie86 :  We prioritize travel too.  This will be our first Christmas at home in years.  Hence the reason we are exchanging gifts for the first time.  I have to be careful though or we’ll spend just as much as we would have if we had gone away!

garnobella :  I thought I was the only one? lol, we went CF in our home about a year ago (as I see you are as well).

I impose a strict $100 budget on my husband because one year he went totally overboard with the gifts, which was nice but gifting isn’t the only way to show someone your love. Never read the love language book but I definitely appreciate quality time over gifts any day.

Fiance and I are desperately saving $ for a house next year and to fund our wedding, so NOTHING!

I only buy for the kiddos in my life, and FI’s family does a secret santa so I will have to buy a gift for 1 person.

My son is getting a kindle kids edition tablet and a few other things 🙂 spending christmas with him is gift enough!
