Peacock by Katy Perry. It’s a song about some guy’s wang.

Anything by the black eyed peas and lady gaga.  Anything where there’s a dance to it (chicken dance, electric slide.  And for some reason, Cotton Eyed Joe is like nails on a chalkboard to me.  That’s out.

No chicken dance, hokey pokey, YMCA, etc.

No lady gaga either.  And now that you guys mentioned kesha I’m totally adding her.

I had Lady Gaga and Kesha BOTH on my do not play list, but my DJ played one song by each! Lol. But I wasn’t mad about it because all my guests LOVED it and were rocking out to it, so I forgave him, haha.

Anything ‘wedding’. My Fiance and I are very much anti cliche types of people. Our do not play list is so huge, we don’t know where to begin. However, Lil Jon better be on our playlist. Fiance and I freakin love him.

My best friend loves the song Achey(sp?) Breaky Heart and although I love her, I loathe that song and forbid it being played.

“Sweet Caroline”.  That’s his ex’s name, and I think about it every time I hear that song.

I have said to Fiance and my brother that no “slides” of any sort will be played.  This includes Electric, Cha Cha, and some odd one I heard that wasn’t either of those.

Fiance insists that he is going to make my brother and I do both of these slides.

There’s also that weird song about butterflies and flowers in her hair?  Hate it.

I will not hesitate to put in any contract that failure to not play blacklisted songs will result in an x% fee reduction for each occurence that I am aware of.

I guess it comes down to what I’ve seen between “Black” weddings and “White” weddings, and since ours will be a combo, toes are going to get stepped on because we didn’t play this song or that one.

@Badass Bride: Everything you listed. And no country music!
