Hey fellow March brides, I know there was a post similar to this a few months ago but I’m on a roll right now with checking things off my list of to-dos! I had to take a break from my planning last month as my girlfriend was getting married and I was a part of the bridal party and wanted to make sure I was available to her for all of those last minute things.
Taking that break made me feel like I was falling WAY behind in my own planning because up until now I was trying to book 1 or 2 big things every month and I hadn’t done anything! So fast forward to September, my friend’s wedding is over and was lovely and now I can focus on mine!
So far this month, I’ve managed to:
- Book my makeup artist (I actually decided to use the same one my friend used cause she did such an amazing job on all of the bridesmaids that day and I like being able to see first hand what the final products will look like)
- Book my hairstylist
- Book my hotel room blocks
- Book and pay for day of transportation
- Score another 2 silver vases to be used as centrepiece vases (we’re halfway to the total number needed).
Along with all of these I’m going bridesmaid dress shopping on the 21st so hopefully I’ll have a couple selections made for them to choose from then.
I’m so excited about all that I’ve managed to accomplish this month and I’m on a roll so I plan to just keep going with it!
So ladies, what have you done/are planning to do for your big day this month?

Wow big month for you!! how lucky that you booked your friends makeup artist – and kinda scored a free makeup trial in the process, nice work!
This month we are finalising our invitations and our guest list. I really want to start working on a rough seating chart- even though we won’t send invites til Jan. Mainly bc other brides have told me they found that stressful & I want to get stressful things out of the way!
Also on the list for this month are booking our honeymoon, looking for a hotel to stay in on our wedding night, buying memory frames for my bouquet, throwing around some ideas for my hens night and setting up a gift registry.
Wow, writing it all down made it seems quite daunting!

@sydneygal444: Good luck to you! I’m hoping to at least do a trial of my invites too, if there’s time. I want them out by the middle of November so that people don’t get them all while getting their Christmas cards. I want them out early for exactly the reason that you stated… I’m actually afraid of sitting down to do the seating chart! I hated every minute of doing it for our engagement party and that was for a third of the people we’re inviting to the wedding.

Hi! We’re getting married the same date!!! Lol
This month we are deciding on the food and table set up. We also need to order our wedding invitations.
We have almost everything booked.
I will be looking into my veil and bolero in December (it’ll be my next vacation period) Bridesmaids dresses are already decided on just need for the girls to go get them.
We decided on centerpieces 2 days ago but Fiance is now having second thoughts about them… so we’ll see what we end up doing.
I can’t wait for next year!!!

This month, my goal is to get the [email protected]#$ing bridesmaid dresses figured out. They have been a nightmare so far. 3/4 of my bridesmaids are in another state, and so they’ve spearheaded the operation (I just don’t care too much, besides wanting them to be matching and in navy), but it’s been difficult. They ordered a dress to try on (the 2nd one so far), and I really really hope it works out so I can move on to figuring out accessories to buy for them!
Otherwise, this month is pretty much my month off for wedding planning. I can’t do invitations until I have my tasting at my venues. I’m waiting to buy my wedding band to see if there are any good sales around Christmas. I’m waiting to pick hair/makeup until I’m in town so I can have a trial.

Another March 29 Bride here!
I have done a few bridesmaids items already. I also booked my first dress fitting for Nov. I still need to book a cake and the florist. Im also working on the rehearsal dinner and I hope we can at least go for a tasting for the reception. I feel good about where I am but I feel behind every time I check my checklist for stuff I have to do.
