@MissGreen: The best thing about Thanksgiving dinner is pie, in my opinion. πŸ™‚

Maybe a tossed salad, pasta salad, and bread?  I love hot, crusty bread with lots of butter… yum.

@piglet_625: Definitively have a salad. I’d go with a tossed green one than a pasta one.

That’s my choice too! πŸ™‚  We always have pasta salad also, so I just thought I’d throw that in there.  Maybe something with fruit?  Fruit kabobs are cute, but can be a lot of work.  My aunt always makes a humongous fruit salad with seriously like every type of fruit you can imagine!  It’s served with dessert.

Oh, and we usually have hot tea and coffee with the pie, so maybe make sure you have enough of those with cream/sugar for those that want it?

@MissGreen: OMG, I love queso!!  So delicious!  And my thinking is traditions are what you make them, so if you wanted to have turkey, have turkey.  If you want queso, have queso!  It’s all in what you make it to be.  My mentor at work is from India, and every other year, she and her husband cook traditional Indian food for Thanksgiving and it all sounds delicious!
