I’m sorry that this has probably been posted before, but I’m freaking out over whether or not to get a videographer. If I get one, I know who I will have. My friend’s sister him and he did a great job on the clip video he did for them (haven’t seen the whole video though). He is $900 which is cheaper than anyone else I’ve seen around.
I contacted him kind of hoping he’d be booked already, which would solve my problem (I don’t want to bother trying to find someone else). He was available when called a few days and he emailed me tell me someone else was asking him for that day and that I have until friday to decide! (he might be bluffing, but who knows…). Fiance thinks it is a lot of money, but he thinks that about EVERYTHING we pay for lol. So he won’t really care if I go for it or not.
Should I go for it? What was your experience with having one? Did you regret not having one? Is that a good deal?
A co-worker told me his cousin had one and no one danced bc they were camera shy…? I’m having 350-400 ppl, so I’m not sure that would be a problem. I’ve had a decent smount of people say they skipped it and regret it bc the day went too fast. opinions please!!! Thanks! 🙂

My brother is a wedding photographer and his Brother-In-Law is the videographer for his business. I helped them out 2 summers ago and it really made me appreciate wedding videography! There were so many moments that would have been missed otherwise but ended up getting caught on camera 🙂

Won’t have one. It would be a waste of money for me, it would either get lost, or just flat out never be watched.

I really wanted one for my wedding but with being on a budget I just can’t afford one. So my best friends mom is going to video tape it so I have something that I can watch throughout the years 🙂

I am having one and it costs about the same as my photographer. I hadn’t even considered it at first, but when I thought about watching my vows, seeing my grandparents dance, seeing my elderly dog greet guests, and seeing the movement in my dress…I changed my mind.
