I agree with some of it. I’m not a big fan of matching bridesmaid dresses so I understand that part. I want all my maids to show their personal style on my day.

I don’t understand about the BEP song… I’ve never heard it but I’m not really their biggest fan *rolls eyes*

I agree with some of these…but a few are over the top. For example, bashing matching bridesmaid dresses – it’s one thing to say that more brides are letting their girls wear whatever they want, and another to shoot down matching dresses. I personally think there’s nothing wrong with asking girls to wear the same dress if that’s your personal preference.

Yeah… I don’t agree with a lot of this.  I REALLY don’t agree with “I Gotta Feeling” as being an “In” trend.  Not a fan. That’s actually on my “do not play” list, so I guess I’m really “out” lol.

I think some of them are spot on, others, eh, not so much.

At at the end of the day, I really don’t care!  As long as Fiance and I are happy we’ll do what we want.

Gloves and white bouquets don’t really qualify as new trends. 😉 I also don’t think bouquet tosses are going anywhere, as a general rule.

To each their own. Incorporate things (as well as skip them) as they appeal to you and your fiance, not what some random magazine says you should do. Most of those things on either list very few if any people have actually seen in real life outside of magazine spreads.

LMAO.  My BMs are having MATCHING dresses with a sash…that one of them picked, and the others OK’d.  And I even considered them being white with colored sash!  Darn!  My wedding is SOOOO OUT!  haha!

I love the all white bouquets but I don’t think that qualifies as a trend.  I also don’t think the charity donations are new.  And Tiffany blue was about on equal plain as pink/brown…so turquoise to be new?  Idk.

And I think people will continue to get fancy cakes if they can afford them…but the economy being not so great I can see why many couples aren’t opting for them.  I did hear that buttercream is making a comeback though!  Yay for that, but hey fondant is cool too!

And I’m sorry but I so have to comment on the backyard wedding thing!  I think anyone would have a backyard wedding (okay, maybe not everyone but a lot of people) if their backyard looked like the one pictured!  That’s why people rent estates and wed in the yard of the estate!  That slide was silly, IMO.

Oh I forgot!  I love the braided (or partially) hairstyles!  There was one updo on the hairstyles thread yesterday that I need to go back and save!!

I actually agree with a lot of these — in terms of what is going out of style and what is coming into style.  The big miss for me though is the entire wedding party in white thing.  Haven’t seen that once… and don’t think I’m gonna be seeing a lot of that in the future either.  The bride is always going to want to set herself apart, and the easiest way to do that is by wearing white.  Anywho, I am still incorporating a couple of things into my wedding that they claim to be passe.  …and I’m barely incorporating any of their new trends.  I’m just not a very trendy person.

Yeah, the bridal bouquet and garter toss are not “out of style” just because a few couples plan to buck tradition. I’d love to skip it but I already got a “no” from the fiance.
