After my first dress was ordered in the wrong size I was so depressed I honestly went on a rampage of diet and walking (I was doing 20 km’s a day and only eating 1200 cal).  One day I just woke up and said to hell with it, I am who I am and I am not going to change just to “fit into a dress”. I have been so much happier since that moment and can honestly say that it has made wedding planning so much easier. My Fiance loves me for who I am, loves my body, and doesn’t want to marry the person I think I should be but the person I am.

@stace0616:  I had my first dress appointment ever at Luxe 2 weeks ago and it was amazing! I’m going back next weekend to make the final decision.

When I started thinking about trying on dresses I was never afraid that I might not find something to look super gorgeous in, I was afraid I’d find some size 6 sample dress that my hips would never fit in and I wouldn’t be able to try it on. I didn’t want to feel like a sausage being cased.

Luxe was amazing, they treat you right and they don’t pressure. It was such a good experience that I’m not even going to look anywhere else. Obviously I highly recommend it 🙂

I am about 5’5 and somewhere around 200 lbs-220.  I don’t even get on scales anymore, so I truly do not know.  I have never once even tried to lose weight for this wedding.  Everyone kept trying to push me to and people were really analyzing everything I ate and did.  But, under this much stress, there was no way I’d be able to focus on weight loss.  Some people lose weight under stress, some eat through it.  Unfortunately I’m one that eats through it.  To me, the easiest time to lose weight will be after the wedding is over.  But it was never a big concern for me like it is for other brides to lose weight beforehand.

I was having a hard time coming to terms with being a full figured bride. When I met Fiance 5 years ago, I was a teeny 120 lbs. I am now 200 lbs and 5’9″. I am a comfortable size 14. I had the wrost experience trying on dresses at a little oboutique that was trying to put me in size 2 dresses! then she said “Maybe you should try the plus size store down the street”. That is when I realized I am a big girl.

I am embracing it now as my Fi loves me for who I am. He never tells me I have to go on a diet or tells me to go to the gym, as a matter of fact he says he wants my butt to get a little bigger! So I am thankful not toave the pressure and happy towalk down the aisle the size I am today.

Wedding planning is stressful enough as it is without adding a crazy diet workout routine into the mix!

@enarr001:  haha love it. Omg fat arms is soooo a thing. I had to have the same sort of chat with my fam. Since Luxe is a plus size only joint, i had to say “hey, we are going here because by the way I’m not a size 8, we all know it and we should all be as ok with it as I am”

This is me at 180 5″2 AND SEXY AS HELL!!!

!

I’m happy to be married in my beautiful plus sized gown! I have curves that will be flattered in whatever I choose to wear! I’ve never wanted to be a size 2…actually I was at my happiest in a 9-11 I’m 5″2 and then I weighed 135 now I weigh 200 (losing another 20 and toning up for the big day) I’ve lost 40lbs in a year and I know I look awesome at 180!…As long as you’re comfy with yourself and you feel beautiful, to hell with whatever anyone says/thinks. I would much rather walk around with all these beautiful curves than look like a 12 year old boy!
